The Fulton Tool Works (also referred to as Fulton Tool Company) was established in 1882 in Canal Fulton, Ohio. They created wrenches, axes, picks, and other mining tools in Canal Fulton during the coal mining days until relocating to Huntington, West Virginia in 1916. Fulton Tool Company became a fairly prevalent brand, in part due to its presence in the Sears Catalog starting in 1905. Once Sears began the Craftsman brand in 1927, however, Fulton tools became a secondary brand in the catalog and went out of business sometime shortly after that.[1][2].

In 1916 Fulton Tool Works operated in three locations: one in Martin's Ferry, OH, one in Huntington, WV, and one in Canal Fulton, OH.[3]
